At Project Kemp we provide indoor and outdoor adventure activities. The activities are performed at Derbyshire Peak District and the Lake District. However, regulated activities, such as: Water Sports activities including Climbing, Trekking and Abseiling are supervised by our licensed partners and by competent qualified Technical Experts at Rapid Horizons.

The activities conform to all health and safety expectations and all activities are supervised by our qualified Lead Instructor and overseen by our Technical Experts at Rapid Horizons.

The positive behavior support and therapy provided by Project Kemp can lead to behavioral stability and a better transition to a new placement or a planned return to previous placement. While in our care, children and young people get the opportunity to partake in outdoor and educational activities. We offer children and young people an opportunity to gain independence, have fun, and mingle with their peers while learning some important life skills and are awarded relevant certification for their progress and success.

“Kemp More, Worry Less”

Emergency and Crisis Support

Rosebank Short Breaks’ 28 Days Emergency Crisis Support is designed especially for Child Placement Teams and Social Workers who need immediate access to an alternative placement when the current placement breaks down or when the needs of a child can no longer be met at their placement.

With an intention to nurture their talents and unique interest in an activity-based and child conscious surrounding, our 28 Days Emergency Crisis Support approaches every emergency and crisis by engaging the young ones with a range of activities that will sharpen their minds while they enjoy the fun.

Firstly, we recognize that children referred to us may have gone through some Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs). For this reason, we risk assess the child, using our INITIAL BASELINE RISK ASSESSMENT MATRIX, to predetermine the amount of care needed through different answers and information provided to us by relevant Placement Teams or Social Worker. This enables us to offer the best care package for the services we provide.

Rosebank Short Break’s partners at Bridge the Gap (BTG) Therapists-Social and Emotional Health (SEMH) and Counsellors, are dedicated team of experts. With great care for their wellbeing, BTG will take time to assess your child’s world using state of the mind assessment and therapies such as: Occupational Therapy, Emotional Literacy, Play Therapy, ACT Therapy & Creative Expressive Arts are all options to help support your child. Moreover, Exploring Anger, Emotional Literacy, Anxiety, Self-esteem, and gratitude through activities created to help empower and educate the child.

In conclusion, guided by or partners at Bridge the Gap, the therapists will assemble an assessment report that becomes a tool for sourcing, planning, and providing everything your child needs to learn, grow, and thrive. For local authorities and Placement Teams, an Assessment Report is recommended by our model of care.
